Every day TAP and its contractors engage with hundreds of local communities along the pipeline route in Greece, Albania and Italy. We would like to share some reports about our field work and tell you about our encounters with people we meet.
13 September 2018
Land reinstatement in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace is exceeding 98%. As a result, 3,150+ parcels used for TAP have now been returned to their lawful owners and users.

TAP construction works have reached the highest elevation point of the project, around 2,100m above sea level, at the Marta Pass (connecting the Korça & Skrapari regions of Albania).

In June and July, TAP and “Korpusi i Vullnetarëve”, a member of the NGO “Free Thought Forum”, organised 5 environmental clean-ups along the pipeline route in Albania.

At the end of July 2018, TAP completed the construction of the 1.5km micro-tunnel in Skrapar, Albania. The micro-tunnel was built in approximately six months.

The Minister of Culture of Albania and the TAP Country Manager for Albania visited two of the archaeological sites along TAP’s route, where TAP is currently carrying out excavation works.

TAP and its contractors will soon complete the rehabilitation of the 12.5-kilometre road connecting the Vithkuq village with the national road Korça - Erseka.

The pipeline crossed under river beds at depths of up to 15 m, thus avoiding impact on the valleys’ fauna and flora.

TAP donated equipment and a minibus, thanks to which 20 boys aged between 10 and 14 will be able to reach the football pitch and train.

The students of HO.MA. recently visited the Ritz Hotel in London to discover the secrets of the art of hospitality. 35 students from Apulia moved to London on April 9 for a 5-week period.

TAP successfully completed the 560-metre Eastern segment of its micro-tunnel in the Skrapari region. The tunnel avoids impact on the Osumi River and a newly constructed bypass road.

TAP started rehabilitating another 4.5 km road segment connecting Bilisht with Vishocica. The road will enable farmers to reach the markets of Bilisht & Korça easier, faster and safer.

This allowed us to support the rescue operation of a minibus involved in an accident. Our doctors & ambulances transported the injured to hospital and assisted in the recovery of the minibus.
