TAP shares the same vision with the festival organisers in promoting Albanian cultural heritage values and stimulating tourism, especially in the areas along the pipeline route.
Many artists from across the world gathered in Berat – the ancient Antipatrea – to promote the city through their art. During the three-day event, participants saw music and visual arts performances and learnt more about Berat’s rare cultural heritage and history.
In a video, TAP presented the archaeological discoveries made during construction works near Berat. In spring of this year, TAP uncovered in Uznova more than 70 graves dating back from late antiquity (4th to 6th century AD) and the middle ages (9th to 11th century AD). The rescue, conservation and protection procedures of these archaeological findings follow best practice standards, agreed with the Ministry of Culture and the Archeological Service Agency.
This festival was organised by “People and Ideas”, “ARTPLUS” and the Municipality of Berat, with the support of the Albanian Ministry of Culture.
