Every day TAP and its contractors engage with hundreds of local communities along the pipeline route in Greece, Albania and Italy. We would like to share some reports about our field work and tell you about our encounters with people we meet.

The winners of a TAP-sponsored art competition for students on the theme of road safety were announced last month. The award ceremony was held at the historic Museum of the First Albanian School (Mësonjëtorja e Parë Shqipe), the site of the country’s first Albanian language school, in the city of Korca. The competition was open to all school pupils living in the communities affected by the TAP pipeline route in Albania.

On 7 July 2015, approximately 150 companies from the Puglia region attended a business networking event aimed at boosting business partnerships around the TAP’s Italian section.

TAP helped renovate the sports facilities of the Andon Profka school in Fier, Albania. The contribution – which improves training conditions for over 270 students – is part of TAP’s community investment programme in Albania.

Energy industry leaders, policy-makers and experts gathered in Tirana for the “Albania Oil, Gas and Energy Summit 2015”, held from 17 to 18 March. Recent developments in the Albanian energy sector dominated debates and the TAP project was at the heart of discussions.

In light of the contract award for the construction of the onshore pipeline and the compressor stations, on 19 January, 2015, TAP facilitated a B2B supplier networking event in Tirana, Albania.
