Participants in the fair included relevant representatives of the energy sector in the country, the region and even further, including also companies from neighboring Italy, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, and governmental institutions such as the Ministry of Energy and Industry, the National Agency of Natural Resources, electric energy producers and providers such as the Albanian Power Corporation (KESH), oil companies such as Bankers Petroleum, IT Oil International, and other organizations such as the Tirana Polytechnic University, the Polis University, the Metropolitan University and various insurance companies.
The TAP project was present in this event as a sponsoring and exhibiting party. TAP also delivered a presentation in the conference held on occasion of this fair, entitled “Conventional Energy”. The TAP project booth at the fair was visited by the Minister of Social Wellfare and Youth, Mr. Erion Veliaj, Deputy Minister of Energy, Mr. Ilir Bejtja and a large number of government representatives who expressed their highest considerations for the project. Many other visitors also visited the exhibition booth set up by TAP and met with company representatives who informed them on various issues such as procurement, employment opportunities and provided them with general information. Visitors showed special interest for TAP specifically and for the way this pipeline will be helping the country and the respective communities along its route.
Another important part of the event was the conference entitled “Conventional Energy”, which attracted the attention of many fair participants and visitors. TAP Country Manager for Albania, Mr. Shkelqim Bozgo delivered a presentation in the framework of this conference entitled “Current Development of the TAP Project in Albania”, while also responding to a number of enquiries from the audience, which was in high attendance and interested regarding the progress being made by TAP.
The TAP project presence in this event was considered as very important because this project plays a key role in the development of the energy sector in the country.
