TAP: routine maintenance works at Meteocean buoys and archaeological and topographic surveys

Lecce - TAP announces that from 8 am 26 October 2013, and up to 12 am, November 1, 2013 (the term can be extended, if necessary, up to 12 am, 8 November , 2013) maintenance works will be carried out in order to check and ensure the operations of the meteocean buoys installed at sea for the collection of marine weather data.

Maintenance operations will be conducted both in daytime and at night, aimed at the extraction of data recorded by the stations and their correct repositioning. This will include the recovery of a buoy that has been accidentally removed from its original location due to the action of the nets of a fishing boat.

All the operations of maintenance of the buoys will be carried out by the boat "Invictus". All the boats which will be in the area interested by the operations are requested to keep a minimum safety distance of 100 meters form “Invictus”. 

In the event of delays or difficulties, the period of the above maintenance operations could be extended from 8 am, 2 November 2013 and 12 am, November 8, 2013.

TAP also announces that, starting from October 28, 2013 and up to 22 November 2013, archaeological and topographical surveys will be held for the detection of dry stone walls and olive trees on the onshore section of the pipeline route. The surveys are authorized by order of the prefect of 7 June 2013 and complete the studies carried out in July.
